Please make sure that you don't load the same file twice. You can see a list of all files that are currently open in the 'Windows' menu. If a drawing is listed there, simply click on it to bring it into view. If a file is not listed there, it is not open at the moment.

If you're on Linux, you might be interested in the ttf2cxf utility:

Re: A few suggestions

1. Memory management could be improved a lot. I now work on projects with very large DXF files and above about 10 MB, QCAD fails to open the files. Sammler files does open, but it takes a lot of time. Memory usage and performance are among the top priorities for QCad 3. 2. The drawing area can be i...

This is more likely a problem with the QCad configuration for that particular user. Please try to reset QCad to its original configuration.

QCad should work fine under Ubuntu 8.04. Please proceed as follows: 1. Delete the configuration file ~/.config/RibbonSoft/QCad.ini 2. Try to start QCad again If that fails: 3. cd ~/qcad-2.2.1.0-1-prof.linux.x86 4. ldd ./qcad -> post results 5. ls -la ./qcad -> post results 6. ./qcad --debug -> post ...

Try this: 1. Make sure the pen toolbar is visible. 2. In your block, create all (or some) entities with the attributes (color, line style, line width) set to "ByBlock". 3. Insert the block with all attributes set to "ByLayer". The entities now inherit their attributes from the layer on which you pla...

I don't think that QCad 2.0.5.0 can be compiled under Windows (without a Qt license that is). Maybe with some free Qt alternative or cygwin, but I am not aware of anyone who has done that before. The QCad community edition targets Unix systems and Mac OS X. For those systems Qt 3 sources are availab...
