If I have violated board rules, I apologize. One of the things that led me to purchase QCAD was this BB. You didn't violate any forum rule! But every question that I ask is taken much, much further than it was intended to be. Some user tent to over complicate in there answers EVERY simple question....

You don't need a manual construction with an auxiliary circle. Follow the "Usage" steps in the tool description and you get what you are looking for.

You can set the global "Label Format" precision like "2 places after point" below:
Menu / Edit / Drawing Preferences / Dimension / Dimension Settings

Part of my problem is I am accustomed to changing the grid on-the-fly. In the photo that I have attached, you can see how this is made easy in my old CAD program with an Icon on the right (red box). Application Preferences is responsible for NEW drawings.
Drawing Preferences is responsible for the ACTUAL drawing.
If you change the orientation (or anything else) in the actual drawing then it is normal to have different settings compared to the Application Preferences.

And after all, what is the purpose of a CAD program but to automate away the tedium of these kinds of mundane computations that get in the way of high level sense of design sometimes? I disagree! The purpose of a CAD program is to design digital models etc. before even manufactured or in a reingene...

Again - Application Preferences is right now for your case irrelevant.
Drawing Preferences is what counts for the reported copy/paste issue. Make sure both drawings have same settings.

What is a recommended, best-practice way to run QCAD-Pro and Community edition 'side by side', or switch between the two functionalities and not cause license issues with my Pro license?
