I think you'll find that your graphic card for QCad is quite adequate enough. Yes, I suppose that's one of the wonders of an application written in Cocoa rather than the Trolltech framework- ie you can apply transparency to a png via the Quartz graphics, like one can do in many cocoa native apps- but alas then not QCad? Shame. Would Trolltech add this if you asked them nicely...

Hmm- all a big false alarm. What baffles me is that it was SW's who gave me this news, now they emphatically deny it. (I thought it sounded too good to be true).

It seems that SketchUp and QCad were made for one another (thanks to the dxf format). Anyone using Windows or Mac OS X, who is wanting to make '3D' visualisations of drawings made in QCad, should look no further than the freeware version of SketchUp, which is still capable of importing DWG/DXF files...

Not too sure what you mean. Can you be a little more specific? For eg, send in a screenshot?

I for one, don't get this problem you describe. You may be doing something wrong.

Dirk, it is also possible to move it by just clicking, then dragging on the text, where it highlights with a blue square. This way, there is no need to explode the text.
