I'm a Fedora's regular user and QCAD. I know FlatPak more or well (Flatpak is a sort of "credo" for whole RedHat environement (CentOS, REHL, Fedora etc.).
I see the flatpak package is more compact than *.run package.
Any explanations of the (testing) choice ? The benefits expected ?

Re: QCAD Flatpak ?
We have introduced flatpaks for our latest QCAD development snapshot releases since some people have been asking for them and as they are relatively easy to create in contrast with other packages. I'm certainly not an expert with flatpaks. They have various advantages / disadvantages, but Google or your favourite AI will be more helpful with that.

Re: QCAD Flatpak ?
I know advantages/disadvantages, just i want to ear what you say for your own choices. I'm glad for QCAD can follow the "trend". Don't forget : flatpak has sandbox, and restrictions for files in /home/ partitions. This is the main drawback.

Re: QCAD Flatpak ?
You might want to add the Flatpak to Flathub/Flatpost so people using Flatpost as a package manager can find and install QCAD easier. It will likely cause people who have never heard of QCAD to discover it, especially if it gets on the front 'Trending' page.
