QCAD heavily relies on the C++ tool kit Qt underneath. Qt is scheduled to be ported to Android and iOS sometime this year. When that happens, a (partial) QCAD port to tablets might become a realistic option. Of course there are also other factors to consider such as development effort, user interest, return of investment, tablet limitations and performance issues, hosting of drawing files, etc.

This is definitely not a promise of any sort.

I've heard of Unity but I'm not sure what you mean by 'Unity Integration'. 'HUD' I've never heard.

Hi andrew,

And ubunto for phones? there is not easy to port the app?

Code: Select all

ubuntu.com/devices/phone/app-ecosystem
I'm pretty sure that qcad for android and ubuntu phones would be brilliant because there is little cad apps and none is as easy to work and integrated to linux that qcad.

HUD and global menu are a great way to work with apps and increase the work area of the screen:

Code: Select all

I hope the ideas are useful. Use Qcad3 daily and love it.
