Custom Line weight

Post by ov10fac » Sat Apr 30, 2016 8:27 pm

I need to set the line weight to 0.01MM, however there does not seem to be any way to do this. Can the line weight be set to something other than the ones that come with qcad. I need these small weights to generate laser cutting drawings.

Thanks.

Whats about 0.00? That should work as well.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Not sure what an Epilog machine is. I send the drawing to a company on-line from a company named Ponoko. They need all the laser cut lines set to .01 MM.

Thanks.

Do they accept a DXF / DWG file for processing? The problem is that lineweights of 0.01mm are not supported by the DXF/DWG format at all (which is the reason QCAD does not support such custom line weights either).

I'm pretty confident they will accept 0.00 ...

Ahh light bulb. I've been sending them inkscape drawings, which need line width of .01. I just assumed the same for dxf.

Guess I should have read all the documentation. Many thanks.
