I want to copy out a small section of a larger drawing and scale it up by say by a factor of 3. But when I try to dimension this enlarged detail I seem to be stuck with the dimension values being enlarged by 3 also . How can dimension the enlarged detail with the original dimensions?

after launching a dimension tool you can adjust the scale in the option bar.
