Drawing created with 32bit / 64bit software

Post by andrew » Thu Mar 30, 2017 8:06 am

From a QCAD user:
If a drawing is created using the 32bit version of QCAD or QCAD/CAM, can it then be loaded using the 64bit version of QCAD or QCAD/CAM? Can drawings made under one operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) be loaded on another operating system?

Yes. Drawing files are completely independent of the platform that was used to produce them. A DXF/DWG file created with QCAD on any platform (be it Windows, macOS or Linux / 32bit or 64bit) can be loaded on any other platform.
