I can create text and I see it.
Problem is when I close project and will open it.

Hi,

Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
If a thread is considered as "solved" please change the title of the first post to "[solved] Title..."

Re: Lost text
I am beginner user QCAD, I don't understand how frozen?
When I found problem, I checked layers. Line on the same layer I can see, but text - till when i have open file, when I close it and will open again I can't see text (not applicable dimentions - I can see it).
Where is the problem?

Re: Lost text
Please attach or e-mail the DXF / DWG file, thanks.
Re: Lost text
Thanks for the file.
Unfortunately, I can only confirm that this file does not contain any of these blue texts (shown in your screenshot you posted above). The text entities are actually still there but they are empty and all formatting has been removed, the font is set to standard and the angle to 0.
A possible cause I can think of: Selecting all texts and then adjusting various properties in the property editor.
I'd suggest to restore one of the texts, save the file, load the file and check if it stays.
As always and with any software:
- do regular backups
- save your file as a new version after every major change (e.g. "MyDrawing000.dxf", "MyDrawing001.dxf", etc.)

Re: Lost text
Thank you for your work, but it isn't solve my problem.
This don't have much text, and I can fast add new, but when I will put more information on the picture - it will be big problem.
When I will have text on the picture, I must print it to PDF, but I can't add somethink to this pictute in the future...
Can QCAD read PDF?

Re: Lost text
This problem was very likely caused by a usage error, not by a QCAD bug (see above). We haven't had any similar reports about such a problem from other users. Please let me know if it happens again and I'm happy to look into it again.Andrzej wrote:Thank you for your work, but it isn't solve my problem.

Again, frequent backups and saving your drawing under a new name after every major change is the only method that makes absolutely sure that you don't lose a lot of work even if you make a mistake and want to revert to a previous version of the drawing. Again, this is true for any software you work with.
Im afraid, I don't understand this statement.Andrzej wrote:When I will have text on the picture, I must print it to PDF, but I can't add somethink to this pictute in the future...

Re: Lost text
OK, thanks for the details. This sounds indeed odd.Andrzej wrote:When I print my picture before close I have text on it, but when I close the file and next open again I lost the text.
Can you try the following:
- Create a new, empty drawing (File > New)
- Add one single text "ABC" with font "Arial"
- Save the file
- Close the file
- Open the file again
- Check if the text is still there
I cannot reproduce this problem here, even with your file. What is the name of the font you are using?
Re: Lost text
When I created new drawing - it is OK.
I can see text: before and after open file.
name of font is Arial.
I think I must do new drawing (in new file).
Can I copy my work between files?
Thank you for your help.

Re: Lost text
Yes. Open both files with QCAD, copy in one and paste into the other.Andrzej wrote:Can I copy my work between files?
