[solved] Anchored Boat

Post by djwright » Tue Aug 15, 2017 11:16 am

Imagine a rectangular boat.
It is anchored to fixed points on the seabed with a line from each corner of the rectangle.
I would like to be able to move the rectangle around with lines connected to the fixed points
So if I move it to the right the 2 lines on the left get longer and the 2 lines on the right get shorter.
Is it posible to do this with QCAD?

Yes, you can use Modify > Stretch for this.

- Modify > Stretch
- "Draw" rectangular area around your rectangle
- Click a reference point (any point)
- Click the target point
