How to create text counting up

Post by Andreas_FI » Thu May 03, 2018 11:10 am

Hi,

What would be the easiest way to create a list of text, names or labels that is counting up including a prefix or suffix?

This is a workflow I use quite often in my work when creating e.g. inputs labels from 1-32 (see example drawing attached).

Currently copy the text (in my example 32 times using move/copy command) and then change the text or number manually.
Is there a more elegant or effective way to do this?

Could I create a block with text and a field where a number or block count is automatically increasing when adding to a drawing or copying?

Thanks for your advice.

Have a look at Misc > Draw > Counter which is somewhat unpolished (hence in Misc) but might cover your use case.
