How do you extrude in Qcad ?
I have a 2d design (lines in xy, that I want to extrude to 3mm thickness)
Guess I have to make the surface solid (face as in solidworks, autocad, freecad etc) before I can extrude, but the manual is vague if this is possible.
It sure is as I saw in youtube videos, but the manual is really difficult to search for terms.

QCAD is strictly 2D. You can create an isometric projection, but there is no concept of solid 3D bodies in QCAD.

So why do you have a Chamfer option then? See Modify => Chamfer
How do you chamfer an edge if it has no thickness ?
It stumps me how I can chamfer a design with zero thickness.

Please refer to the user manual to learn what Chamfer / Bevel does in 2D:

Re: Extruding a 2-dim object
Ok, so I completely misunderstood what Qcad can do.
Well then its not going to be able to CNC any 2dim objects of uniform thickness, with chamfers in the z-direction.
Unfortunately not what I have been looking for as that is crucial for 2d objects.
Thanks for the help.
