Dimensions Showing Large Number???
Hey folks,
Scale 1" = 50'
I've been dimensioning a site plan for a few days now and all of my dimensions were working perfect. Then all of a sudden, the dimension scale went crazy. For instance, see the screen shot attached. That line is supposed to be 34' - 6"... but the dimensioning is showing 20700.
I've scoured all of my settings can't find the fix.
Anyone?
Mac OSX 10.13.5
QCad Pro 3.21.2

Re: Dimensions Showing Large Number???
Hi,
your drawing unit is foot. For a DIM label like 34' - 6" your drawing unit needs to be in inch.
How to solve the issue:
Convert (Menu/Edit) your drawing from foot to inch,
Change in the "Drawing Preferences" the Dim Label Format from Decimal to Architectural and choose the correct Precision,
Confirm with OK,
Redo both existing DIM's - they have a wrong Line Scale - 600 instated of 1.

Hey thanks for the help! While I was able to change the formatting to match Architectural, it's still showing 20700"... you mentioned to change the Line Scale from 600 to 1. My file is showing 1 so I'm not sure where you're speaking of.
Any help is appreciated.

Last question, where do you change this so it is a "default"? I can change it but I have to do every time I use a DIM.

The settings below "Application Preferences" are responsible for all NEW drawings.

Yeah I already went through that several times, but simply can't find anything that relates to LINEAR FACTOR.
Sorry!

Re: Dimensions Showing Large Number???
That is not a setting which can be find in the Application Preferences dialog. That setting is directly done by user interaction with help of the option bar during creating a dim ....
... or afterwards with help of the Property Editor.
Note: If changed in the DIM option bar QCAD will remember that setting as long it isn't changed again. Means ..... also for new drawings.
