Can circles round points be removed

I am CAD drawing plywood pieces that need to be wire stitched together before gluing in order to build sea kayaks. I am marking the stitch holes with Draw>Point . Each point appears on the screen with a circle around it. There are many holes, and the circles around them obliterate the rest of the drawing at low zoom. The company doing the CNC cutting has asked what to do about the circles. As the property editor shows "POINT (1)", can I assume that the circle will be ignored by the machine? Is there a way to remove the outer circles, and just leave dots? Many thanks.
Nick

Please check the settings for "Point Display". It looks like you set it to Mode 32 instead of Mode 0.

Husky, many thanks for the swift reply, which explains exactly the issue. The green points were added to my drawing by a friend in the USA, and then sent back to me for discussion. (He likes copper wire stitching, whereas I like super-glue). I tried to understand the issue via
Help> Reference Manual> Search "point" but this only stated "Points are visually represented by a small cross." I then read the QCAD book en3 which I had purchased, but this contained no further information. I also looked at the toolbar at the left of the screen and looked at "Point Tools". This just gave options for multiple points. If one sentence was added in each of these three places, it might help others, and would have saved me several hours of work. I suggest that sentence could simply be "Further options can be found at edit>drawing preferences>point display".
Many thanks for all your work. QCAD is superb.

Can points be replaced by holes?

Windows 10, QCAD pro 3.22.0
The CNC shop now states that each point must be replaced by a 1.5 mm diameter hole, as a point is not a vector, and hence will not be recognised as a position for a drill bit. This dxf file has been successfully used in the USA to drill holes for several years. (I am in the U.K) However, is there a way to replace over 100 points with holes? I have selected all the points and used Misc > Store positions but am I now restricted to the few options in Misc > Draw?
I have tried without success to use the standard Draw command options at that point in the Misc > Draw option.
Many thanks.
Nick.

Yes, storing positions should work in this case:
- Select all points (e.g. using View > Selection Filter)
- Misc > Information > Store Positions
- Draw > Circle > Center, Radius
- Change radius in options toolbar to desired radius
- Misc > Information > Use Positions

I'm grateful for the rapid response. That is the procedure I have been trying all afternoon with every combination I can imagine, and I have used the tutorial from the beginning, without success. I've attached a small section of the drawing, showing 15 points:

Make sure that your active layer is "Holes_Wire" and it will work with Andrew's description like a charm.

My attachment shows that as the active layer, unless I misunderstand the point. The layer list is on the right in the attachment.

This is all what you need right now:

After that terminate the tools with ESC. That isn't working for you?

That's what I think I've been doing.

I've just tried with 4 points in a square in a new file. I cannot get the points to change to circles.

Husky, that is excellent, and I'm most grateful for your efforts. The five stage instructions lack a line 2, which could be select "replace the current selection"in the box below .The Help facility and the Manual en3 do not mention this step in relation to "selection filter". On my screen the relevant boxes are in a separate delineated box, 200 mm below the bottom of the selection filter, with no apparent connection. I have attached a screenshot. Many thanks for your skilled and enthusiastic assistance.

That procedure works perfectly when I work from a new file. When I try the same with the actual file I need to modify, I get the dreaded message "Transaction failed. Please check for block recursions and locked or invisible layers or blocks."
I've read the 18 hits from searching the forum for this error message, deleted all the blocks bar the parent one, and tried making the layers locked/unlocked and visible/invisible in various combinations, without success. I've attached the file
