Hi,
Win 10, Vers. 3.24
Is there any way to mark a present line as a reference point and move incrementally from there and still go back to the original location? When you use DRO, you can set an 'absolute' point and then move 'incrementally' from there, and still be able to go back to the Absolute point?
Thanks,
Papajoe41

Hi,
not sure that I understood what you are looking for. Any chance that you elaborate the goal with an example? Thanks.

Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Re: using incrementally
DRO from Digital read out?
For dimension that is the combination of a dim and Baseline dim.
Or the Ordinate dim functionally.
For Info that is the combination of the set or lock relative zero (snap options) and the relative position info.
For entering references that is similar and using relative coordinates.
In Gcode that is G92.

Re: using incrementally
But in respect to a workpiece on a machine with a DRO.
No, in Qcad we can not set the Origin to the drawing items like we would set it to a workpiece.
But we can always set what we select from a drawing in an other relation to the Origin.
With selection: Modify Move/Copy from ... to ... in the dialog select 'Delete original' & uncheck 'Use current ...'
