Hi,
I would like to find for instance a caracters string in a complex drawing, highlight it and focus the window on the string. I didn't find how to do that in the reference manual of QCAD.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Highlighting Item
Hi,
I am not aware of such a function in Qcad.
Then again you could use the 'Selecion Filter' for that.
Tried it and it works.
Qcad Pro
Selecion Filter vissible, if not enter command 'GF'.
You can look for text entities or text based entities (eg. including dims).
The property would be the text itself.
Comparison mode and value of your choise.
4 different selection modes. (Icons)
Leave the 'Selecion Filter' widget as it is or dock it.
It is a very powerfull selection feature.
Simple as cake.
Regards,
CVH

Re: Highlighting Item
Hi CVH,
Thank you for your answer.
It is not as simple as a cake :
I tried the Selection filter.
Indeed, the function find the text item and highlight it.
But, it doesn't focus the display window on the item.
So it is useless, if you don't know the position of the item.
Perhaps it is a way to memorise the position of the item and move the cursor or the display window onnt he item. But i didn't succeed unveilling such a function.
Best regards.
Yves.

Re: Highlighting Item
Selected with the filter?
Or simply selected?
What about zoom to selection?
