Import measurement data as blocks

Post by Willi » Wed Jun 10, 2020 10:26 am

Hallo, I'm new to QCAD and I'm looking for a way to import measurent data (ascii-file) as block (with point ring, point number and height) georeferenced into QCAD.
Does anyone know of a possibility and can help me?
I would be very grateful! Best regards!

I don't think that a 'ready to go solution' is present.
Not that in the past I've seen a script that does this.

But it sould not be that hard to put something in the drawing related to entries in ascii or
a similar format by a script based on 'Import Points'.

I am thinking of X,Y,Z-> Block Attribute 'Height',No->Block Attribute 'Number'.
I supose the 'point ring' can be any shape defined in the Block.
Eg. I came resently across something similar with trees in a park, including diameter, kind, state, and so on.

Must this be a Block?
Do you have a source text example?
Is the format normalized?

Hi, thanks for your answer. It's a shame that LISP applications don't work in QCad. A friend prepared the data for me using Auto-Cad.
But maybe there is a good solution for the future.

Yes blocks would be good.
A measurement data record looks like this:
@@@@ 005/00001 10573.664 310500.318 197.747
What is meant by normalized format?
Best regards,
Willi

And what is what?
10573.664 X?
310500.318 Y?
elevation 197.747? ( 2D so no Z)
and @@@@ 005/00001 is ...?

Any kind of standardization or normalization?
