Many Pages Multiple Viewports (Solved)

Post by seasdes » Sat Mar 26, 2022 12:00 pm

I have a drawing that will have a number of pages Eg. cover sheet, site plan, floor plan, elevations and sections.
Each Viewport will have different layers toggled on.
Is this possible? I have read the manual.
Presently I have the floor plan overlaid on the site plan. Or should I have all layers toggled on and position each of the drawing views so that they do not overlay others (in this case the floor plan and site plan).

I have read the manual.
What's about "Layer States"? Would that work in your case?
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Can I have different Layer States active on the one page?

You can only have one layer state active at a time and it is across all viewports.

With the information I have so far I would say forget the plan to print multiple pages at the same time. Do single prints - that are only 5, correct?
How:
Create a layout block for each plan, create a layer state for each layout block. If you name a layout block "Floor plan" create a corresponding Layer State named "Floor Plan". Create regarding to the plan the viewports and annotations.

Printing:
Double click on Layout "Floor plan" to open it, launch the corresponding Layer State "Floor plan", print the plan ...
Next - double click on Layout "Site plan" to open it, launch the corresponding Layer State "Site plan", print the plan ... I guess you get the idea.
