[solved] Command line position

Post by DShum » Sat Dec 03, 2022 12:53 am

Is there a possibility of moving the command line to the side where previous entries can be seen without having to click and scroll what is hidden.

Absolutely :) The command line is a "widget", and behaves the same way as the other widgets like the layer list, block list, etc. You can un-dock it and float it around freely, even to another monitor, or place it on either side, or even at the top just below the main menu bar. I have demonstrated below. In the first image, you can see the command line at the bottom of the screen in its default location. Next, I grabbed the title bar area of the command line and dragged it away to un-dock it. Third, I hovered it over my widget area on the right side and dropped it at the bottom below my selection filter widget. And finally, I hovered it in between the CAD toolbar on the lefthand side and the model space, giving me a huge dedicated area to view the command history.

Thank you.
Had a little difficulty finding the title bar, but got it!
