[solved] Pdf export

Post by rhkitchenandbath » Wed Apr 14, 2021 1:22 am

Hello,
I have MacOs Big Sur V 11.2.3, and i am using Qcad Pro V 3.25.2.0
I have used Qcad for windows for 12 years without any problems. Just purchased a new Qcad for Mac to use it on my new Mac.
I created a floor plan document and wanted to export it to Pdf format. Every time I tried to do that I get a pdf document that is hundreds or thousands of pages instead of one single page.
I suspect that the document is being created with scale 1:1 and it is exporting to pdf with the actual size.
I tried to modify the scale without success.
What am I doing wrong?

Sorry I did not attach a copy of the file. I am posting on my ipad and could not access the file in icloud.

Any help is appreciated.

The drawing is configured to print on 26 x 26 pages:

You can change that to one single page under Edit > Drawing Preferences > Printing > Multi Pages.

You also might want to adjust the print margins.

And then auto fit the drawing using the appropriate button in the options toolbar:

Thanks Andrew. That solved the printing issue.
Now I am having another issue with the same file. Every time I edit the file and click the “save” button it opens a new “save as” window instead and it tells me that the file already exists and if I want to replace it.
Is this supposed to happen every time I edit the file and want to save the changes made to the same file.?
