Block inserted in a stretched way

Post by Eisenbahn123 » Thu Jul 03, 2025 11:36 am

Hello 2D-verse,
I created a lot of own blocks and inserted them in my model. All of a sudden blocks will be stretched if I isert them from the block list into the model directly. Copy/paste of blocks already placed in the model are normal. Must be a setting I changed from QCAD by accident. Maybe with a shortcut on my keyboard. Did not open any settings from QCAD before that behavior appeared. If my colleague opens the model on his computer everything is fine.

Thankfull for any help!

Hi and welcome to the QCAD forum.

Please consult the Option Toolbar on inserting a Block Reference.
Many QCAD tools share that Toolbar to display their options.
Typically just above the drawing panel.

From the looks of it:
Activate 'Keep Proportions' (The button with the broken or connected chain icon).
Specify the uniform 'Scale' in the 'Scale X' field.

Most tool options are stored persistent between usage.
The Options Toolbar is thus a very important feature to always keep an eye on.

For those Block References already inserted in not uniform scale.
Select them and alter the scale of the Block Reference in the Property Editor.

Regards,
CVH
