Windows 10 Install error

Post by mbusry » Tue May 16, 2023 10:32 pm

When I try to install 3.28.1 32 or 64-bit I get the Windows error, "This app can't run on your PC". We can install it on the Mac and Windows 11 just fine. Anyone know what's going on?

Please indicate the exact file name of the downloaded installation files. Thanks in advance.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Thanks.

A QCAD installation would be without the .exe extension.
That are not files which can be downloaded from an official QCAD link. Where did you download those files?

I removed the end. I've attached a screen shot of the site it takes me to the link.

Yes, that looks like the official download area.

Yes, the screenshot looks like the official download area. I'm wondering where the .exe extension came from ...

You are able now to install the "qcad-3.28.1-pro-win64-installer.msi"?

FYI: .msi is a Windows installation file.

We have no problems with Windows 11. It's just with 10. Should we try removing the .exe?
