2707 Segmentation fault v.3.11.0, Ubuntu 14.04
Since upgrading to v.3.11.0.0, my Ubuntu 14.04 QCAD installation will quit without warning and report the following error:
qcad: line 18: 2707 Segmentation fault (core dumped) LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$DIR" "$binary" -style plastique "$@"
This can happen seemingly any time and I can't pin-point any one thing that causes it. It can happen while trying to select points for dimensions and placing lines within a drawing. It happens on different drawings which can previously been saved in v.R12 and higher.
Downgrading to v.3.10 stops the errors and it doesn't seem to happen on a Windows 7 machine.
Thank you...
Paul

Thanks for your report.
Is this QCAD Professional or a trial version or the free QCAD Community Edition?
In the latter case, is it a package downloaded from our site or a self-compiled or third-party package?
Thanks.

Sorry - forgot that. It is QCAD Professional downloaded from my buying history link from your site.

Thanks.
Could you attach a drawing file you are working on?
Also, please indicate if you are using the 32bit or 64bit package for Linux.

I just returned to mention that both Linux and Windows programs are 32bit. I will have to upload a drawing in a bit.

Thanks. The core dump file might also be helpful if available.
Re: 2707 Segmentation fault v.3.11.0, Ubuntu 14.04
If I open this R27 drawing, and type DV for a vertical dimension, I usually can't get to select the second dimension location. Especially if I start the first selection at the top. Trying to add an infinity line can error, too, especially if I move the mouse around the screen too long. Not sure if it is exactly the same error, but quits the same (without warning). This is happening on different Ubuntu v.14.04 installations with different hardware in each machine.

Thanks. I'm able to reproduce the problem here. The cause seems to be the presence of zero length lines in combination with 3rd degree splines.
You can eliminate the problem as follows:
- Load the drawing
- Modify > Detect Zero-Length Entities
- Click the delete button: The crash will also be fixed for the next release.
