Hi renod
Have you tried ?
Main menu > Edit > Application Preferences > Tool Settings - type and search 'Focus on command line' restore the default settings and click apply.
view focus on command line.jpg
view focus on command line.jpg (86.87 KiB) Viewed 14714 times
Let us know if this does the trick or not.

I use QCAD on Windows 10 and Linux Mint. I haven't experienced this problem on either operating systems.

Unfortunately, this problem cannot be reproduced here on any Linux system, including Ubuntu Linux with the Mate desktop (32bit or 64bit).
If you can submit additional information that might help to identify or reproduce the problem, please re-open the above task in the task tracker.

You might also want to try resetting your configuration (delete file ~/.config/QCAD/QCAD3.conf).

Oki I got it.

The "space" shortcut focus on the command line only if the widget "command line" is not detached from the main window.

Thanks a lot for helping me to find a solution.

P.S. I did not try to reopen the bug because I don't use the latest version.

Reno.

I see, I think that even if the command line is un-docked, you should still be able to focus on it by hitting the space bar. After testing I find that if I start a new drawing and the first thing i do is hit the space bar in an un-docked command line the focus goes there, but after that it doesn't work!
I think you've found a bug

Hi Clive,

Since 20 years I'am using free software only (except some rare exceptions) and it's the first bug that I have discovered before another one did it :)

Thanks for the update.

Can you overwrite your file scripts/View/CommandLineFocus/CommandLineFocus.js with this file:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/qcad/ ... neFocus.js

Please let me know if that fixes the problem on your system, thanks.
