Lines not plotting to correct length

Post by RickF » Wed Nov 14, 2018 11:41 pm

I'm using quad pro v3.21.3 for mac trying to get lines to plot to the length I specify. I tried a vertical line, added the length of 30'-9". When I measure or dimension the line they read 29'-3"

Any lines drawn do the same except 2 point that get dragged to the wanted length.
Drawing units and paper units are both set to inch
dimensions are set to architectural precision 0'-0 1/4"

I need to use the architectural dimensions for a drawing to be used for building permits so I haven't done a drawing yet as I need it to be correct first.

QCAD allows you to enter mathematical expressions wherever numerical values can be entered (here the length field).

Unfortunately, this means that you cannot enter feet and inches as 30'-9" as this is interpreted as 30' minus 9" (= 29'3"). Instead, you can enter 30'9" (or 30'+9").
