Linux Mint 21.3 Installation

I have not yet upgraded my Linux Mint version but will do so in the next couple of weeks.
In the mean time I attempted to install Qcad - my final successful attempt utilised the 64bit installer but after making the file executable I found I needed to answer the question posed in the dialogue box presented on double-clicking the run icon by choosing the "run in terminal" option rather than the plain "run" option. Choosing plain "run" as suggested in the expanded instructions did nothing but choosing "run in terminal" was successful.
Hope this helps someone and I will try Mint 22 soon and report how I get on with that.
