[solved] Install .tar.gz

Post by borgward » Sun Oct 04, 2015 6:29 pm

I downloaded qcad-3.10.0-linux-86x_64.tar.gz. How do I get it installed? I am running LinuxMint 17 on Dell Inspiron 1520, Intel Pentium Dual Core 64bit, 2 GB RAM. I clicked on the download and clicked on Extract. What do I do next?

If the tar.gz has been extracted successfully, you should now see a folder called "qcad-3.10.0-linux-86x_64", inside it, there's the QCAD launch script (a file called 'qcad') which you can start to run QCAD.
