Chamfering or Rounding corners of hatched entities

Hello,
I use QCAD 2.2.2.0 both on Windows Xp and on Ubuntu 8.10.When I try to chamfer or round the edge of a filled object (hatch),it doesn't work,Qcad draws the new line (or curve for rounding) but doesn't delete the content of the hatch which is outside the new shape.
Well,as a workaround you can first chamfer the edges of the object then fill it,but it would be nice to be able to do the opposite.
