Hello All -
I wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I've been associated with Cad since the mid '80's doing AutoCad 2D piping drawings with ProPipe, 3D modeling, FEA, etc. Lately I've got back into CAD and hope to get a 3D printer soon. Products I've used: AutoCad, TurboCad, BricsCad, FreeCad, Alibre Professinal, and now QCAD. Can't really beat the price and I hate subscription software of any type.
My day job, is developing software and doing QA/Testing on my company's software products. I'm pretty fluent in C#, and Python.

Welcome Robert.
You have worked with many programs. Wonder what happend to TurboCAD. Yes, these subscribtions take the vibe out of the digital work.
And some of these Apps are not even progressing much - though you depend on them, like for us working in architecture.
As QCAD is 2D , if you are intersted in 3D try blender.org it is a very strong OS software.
Keep up the good work.
