GCode Editor

Post by Koala » Mon Apr 03, 2017 8:29 am

Hello,

is there a possibility to have the GCode shown, while editing the drawing WYSIWYG? - I mean like in NCCorrector (http:/http://nc-corrector.inf.ua/index_EN.htm ... dex_EN.htm). Here you can select a line, and the program jumps to the right code line. You can change it and all changes are visible in the code editor as well as in the drawing area. This would make QCAM to an all in one tool (Importing DXF and easily editing GCode Files).

With my best regards

Unfortunately not, no. Please understand that QCAD/CAM is extremely flexible and can be configured / programmed to output any kind of output format, not only standard G-Code. Understandably, this has to be a one-way street. I.e. it is not possible for QCAD/CAM to understand the code it outputs (since it can be anything from G-Code, to any kind of plain text or a binary format, a bitmap or a data base).

What might be possible though at one point is to link entities with the output code to display what code corresponds to an entity. This might be implemented in a future version.
