Z Axis Feed Rate

Post by mooseuk » Sat Sep 08, 2018 11:55 pm

Hi all,

Where do you set the feed rate for the Z Axis ?
My generated G code shows it as zero and I have to edit it to show a feed rate.

The Z feedrate is labeled as "plunge rate".

The default plunge rate for a tool can be defined in the dialog when adding a tool:

When creating a profile toolpath, the plunge rate can be adjusted for that particular profile if desired:

Thanks Andrew, I am new to this and thought those fields were for setting the feed increment !
Really must read the manual before diving in.

All sorted now
