Hello, I'm new to CAD software and I want to play with QCAD for a while to decide if I need to buy the professional version, but I can't figure out how to remove the plugins that will free up the community edition. When click the "remove" box in the trial window, a popup dialog says:
To remove this add-on, please delete the following plugin files:
plugins/libqcaddwg.dylib
plugins/libqcadpolygon.dylib
plugins/libqcadproscripts.dylib
plugins/libqcadtriangulation.dylib
I can't find these files anywhere on my computer. Where are they and how do I remove them? I'm running Mac OS 10.13.2
Thanks!

Right-click on QCAD.app and choose "Show Package Contents" > Contents > PlugIns.
Re: removing plugins to use free version on a mac
Hello--
A few years later, but I'm having the same issue on a Mac-- I've found the plug-ins that are listed to be removed for the Community Edition:
To remove this add-on, please delete the following plugin files:
plugins/libqcaddwg.dylib
plugins/libqcadpolygon.dylib
plugins/libqcadproj.dylib
plugins/libqcadproscripts.dylib
plugins/libqcadtriangulation.dylib
...but the computer won't delete them-- I can't drag them to the trash or select delete-- the option is grayed out. I am admittedly not the most tech savvy, but what am I missing...... any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!!

Re: removing plugins to use free version on a mac
Have you made sure that Qcad is NOT running when you attempt to remove those plugins?
Re: removing plugins to use free version on a mac
I have-- tried with the program running and not running.
Re: removing plugins to use free version on a mac
I've no experience on a MAC but that sounds like a file/directory permission issue. Is that particular directory unlocked for you to delete files?
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

I am having the same problem listed here. How does one alter the directory to gain permission to delete files? (I am no Mac nor CAD expert - please help!)
