Drawing simple lines
When I try to draw lines between two points, the line extends for a longer length. What has gone wrong and what is the remedy please ?

When you launch the "Line from 2 points" tool an option bar pops up at the top of the drawing area. Most likly those options are set to Infinitive or ray. Make sure to set it to "Line Segment" and the tool will behave as expected.
