Query re Tutorials for QCAD

Post by Xiansheng » Tue Jun 21, 2016 6:32 am

HI Everyone. I should state first that I know nothing about CAD, but need to be able to produce workshop drawings for my workshop. I have a production engineering background and was formally a Scientific Instrument Maker, so knowing what I want to make and how to make it is no problem. My question is, is there a set of tutorials about how to use QCAD?

Hello,Xiansheng,
Welcome to the forum. If you start from scratch, buy Andrew's book first, it'll get you going in just a few hours : http://www.qcad.org/en/qcad-documentati ... -qcad-book

After you get the feeling for it, you'll find plenty of help from people on the forum. 8)

Hi Xiansheng,

This sounds trivial but believe it or not - this is already a very important statement. You need to know how something has to be manufactured - only this knowledge will lead to a practical workshop drawing.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
If a thread is considered as "solved" please change the title of the first post to "[solved] Title..."

Hi Everyone.

Is it possible for me to have a look at one or two pages of the recommended book?
