I'm evicting Microsoft from my life and using Linux mint cinnamon.
I installed qcadcam a few weeks ago, it ran fine but now it wont start. the icons and qcad executable (572 bytes) is marked as program and executable flag is set. It opens with a text editor instead of running as executable. I may have changed something a few days ago but dont remember what or where it was.
the file qcad 2.6KiB in size results in an error "there was an error launching the application" can you help a linux noob?

Please have a look at:
https://www.qcad.org/en/component/conte ... tion-linux
-> Making the Downloaded File Executable
There are some preferences under Linux that might prevent you from running executables with a double-click.
You can also use a terminal to run QCAD which should always work, if you are comfortable using a terminal.
