I was wondering if there was a tool whereas you could cut shape at a specific spot? Similar to the cut/scissors tool in illustrator etc?

QCAD has a few cutting tools but of course not like Illustrator. QCAD is a CAD program - Illustrator is a graphic design program.

Maybe you could elaborate a bit more what you like to do with QCAD and we will see if it has the proper tools for that.

Yeah Illustrator does have an export to DXF option, just giving Q-cad ago as a teaching tool. The example would be how to do cut a 1/4 of a circle?

You could use for that the "Clip to Rectangle" tool in QCAD ...
