Re: Copy of line has different attributes
When moving or copying entities using Modify > Move / Copy, you have the option to either preserve the attributes and the layer of the original entity or use the current attributes and layer for the copy. This option is presented in a dialog or in the options tool bar at the top, depending on your preferences. In both cases, the option is called Use current layer and attributes.

What tool do you use to "move it"? Did you read/try the answer above about the Use current layer and attributes option?

Each individual entity lives on a certain layer.1engravecut wrote: ↑Thu Jan 22, 2026 4:23 pmI am trying to move an entity that includes different layers
Such a single entity in Model_Space can only be a representation of a Block.
A Block can contain entities drawn on different layers.
Then you move or copy a Block-Reference.
Keeping the Block-Reference on the original layer or not by the MV options on the Options Toolbar.
This would not affect the entities of the related Block definition.
