You can save a drawing with the free edition as a pdf. Unfortunately dwg is only with the Pro possible.

Yes - one time and you can use it forever.
With the "one time" buy you will also get one year free updates - no additional cost!

QCAD Pro is used to draw CAD drawings.
The CAD/CAM Version combines the CAD (Computer Aided Design) drawing task with the CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) part for further processing like CNC Maschines. The CAM add-on will produce the code to control/operate processing machines like CNC (Computer Numerical Contro) milling machines etc etc

You can use the "Print Current View" tool for this purpose. If that isn't what you are looking for please bring us a concrete example. Thanks.

You may find this feature through the "Print" option. And that's what I exactly like about QCAD - the most part of the software related to this one still has no way how you're able to export your piece to PDF directly without additional tools. For example, FreeCAD has so, but when I was using it all the documents become corrupted and messy looking when I saved them as PDF, so I fixed them manually via this tool pdffiller DOT com It's a more business-papers-related thing, but works well in order to fix some poor printing issues
