I'm trying to import e file from EAGLE PCB Cad 9.5.1. This is a DXF export in EAGLE and I'm exporting three layers (nmaed Dimension, Drills and mechanics - the latter a non standard layer added by me that should show some mechanical outlines). Purpose is, to pin point certain drill holes for PCB mounting the the mechanical case.
The result after importing the DXF into QCAD is dissatisfying, but I guess something can be improved or tweaked to make it work.
To give you an idea how it should look, I'm including a screen shot of that what I'm seeing in EAGLE:
Watch, what QCAD makes of that file.
Solution: EAGLE modifies the LAYER tOrigins and changes scale and offset on that layer. Excluding that layer from the export helps in that
the mis-scaled points don't appear. Why the line-widths are degraded, there I don't have a solution for, yet.

Select All.
Selection Filter:
> Entity type: Poly
> Intersect with the current selection (right icon)
Property Editor:
Global Width: (of all selected)
Set to 0
I can see that only the slanted sqaures with a mark are imported as circles.

Re: trying to import a DXF from EAGLE layers
OK, this helped me to see sth. meaningful in the green layer (102). But the other layer (44) is shifted and scaled wrongly. Must look at the source where it's generated.
Thanks, again a trick (intersect with the current selection and set global width) a mundane cannot discover himself without help from you experts.

I am the same mundane as you.
Only used 10% of Qcad or so.

Re: trying to import a DXF from EAGLE layers
IMHO Layer 44 is not scaled or positioned faulty.
When I look at the png and see where the tiny circles are in the dxf it will match very close.
On Layer 20 there are 60 Poly's, nicely placed at the inner green contour.
So again not scaled or positioned faulty.
10 make up a similar contour as the green.
Shift Select those 10 one by one and place them 200mm away.
Another 10 make the same contour.
Shift Select those 10 and place them 400mm away.
The remaining 40 polys are minute arcs (r=0.0002/0.0003) as polys and also doubled.
What I make of this is:
10 original lines as polys with a global width and 20 round caps to mimic a round pen.
These 30 are doubled.
Further I find 12 block definitions ANNULUSP--THERMALV
Again with polys with a global width (here rather 0.5)
And some solids.
but I can't find any block reference so they aren't used anywhere.

Re: trying to import a DXF from EAGLE layers
Thanks. I corrected the scaling fault at the source and it works now.

Would you mind to edit your first post of this topic and add 'Solved'
