Noel...new to QCAD v3.24 using Win10.
Hello...
Sucessfully loaded .dxf created in another app but units are way off. I've played with print preview, drawing preferences, app preferences, changing units from/to etc etc but cannot get a result. I know that some of these changes apply to new drawings vs current.
1. How do I see what the current units are ?( currently a line is 5700 somethings)
2. How do I change the units and scaling to match actual ( in this case about 5700 somethings is c500mm )
PS why do I want to do this? I'm creating real life paper patterns, scanning to .pdf, converting to .dxf using another app, then opening in QCAD to manipulate.
Thank you.

Re: Setting units and scale on .dxf file
Hello - welcome to the QCAD forum.
If you could post the drawing or at least an example drawing which shows the same issue then our help would be way more efficient ...
Below Menu / Edit / Drawing Preferences you will find the actual used units. Changing the unit will only change the name!
Following your description it could be that you have to convert the drawing unit to another one or even scale the drawing.

Husky...thanks for the reply.
Yes, scaling the whole drawing is probably the answer.
How do I do that?
Thanks

Re: Setting units and scale on .dxf file
Not sure about that because somebody draw the drawing with a unit in mind ...
determe the scale factor (5400/500?)
Select the whole drawing,
launch the scale tool (SZ),
select a useful reference point,
fill out the dialog like this one,
confirm the dialog with ok - done.
