I would like to know how to move a line by dragging one end and have the other end follow. I've done this twice (when I didn't mean to) but cannot figure how it was initiated.
Thanks

Re: Move a line by draging one end
Drag the line by clicking on the line NOT near start or endpoint..

Re: Move a line by draging one end
What happens depends where you "pick" the line.
Moving the line:
1. Select the line,
2. Click and hold the line somewhere in the middle,
.... the mouse pointer will jump to the end of the line which was closer to the clicking point,
.... you are now able to move the whole line.
Relocate ONE end of the line:
1. select the line,
the selected line shows a blue and a red point ad the end of the line. That is the start and end point for the line,
2. grab and hold the red or blue point (reference points) with the mouse pointer and drag it to where ever you need it. The end which is grabed will move - the other point stays in place.

Re: [SOLVED] Move a line by dragging one end
... or use the Move Tool (MV).
with it you can also select the start or end point and still move the entire line.
This can e.g. be important when 2 lines are to be connected without changing the length or orientation of the shifted line.
