Accessing the options toolbar

Post by andrew » Wed Dec 11, 2013 6:53 pm

From a QCAD user:

When creating lines I cannot use the tab key to change the dimension, I have to move the mouse to that box and click in it to be able to change the dimension.

I'm assuming that you want to access the options tool bar at the top to enter for example the length and angle of a line that is created using the tool
Draw > Line > Line from Angle

The shortcut to access the options tool bar is:

^Space (that is Ctrl + Space)

This gives keyboard focus to the first item in the options tool bar. You can then use tab to move to the next item, etc.
