How do I create a Custom Line Type?

Post by David Kolínský » Thu Nov 11, 2021 2:31 pm

Windows 10, latest QCAD version.

Hi, I would like to create a custom line type but I don´t have any experience doing that. Can anyone help me with this? :)

Line type should be 2 lines (lineweight 0,18 mm) parallel with distance of 0,6. I am using a Metric measurement system (for line types and hatch patterns).

This line type is going to be used for drawing curbs. I appreciate any help with this since I have also zero experience with coding.

Hi,

I don't think this is possible.
The way we define a line type in dxf is as a repetitive pattern superimposed on a line.

I see no way to include two parallel definitions like in a hatch definition.
Including shapes is possible but these will not get 'bended'.

Maybe FlexPainter might be of any use in this case.

Regards,

Thanks for your feedback. Fortunately, it´s not something very important for me so it´s okay.
