QCAD trial will not run on Apple M4 OS 26.1

OS Tahoe 26.1 M4 chip.
The trial version seems to install ok but will not open. Searched for the .ini and .cnfg files but none were found. Is there a solution?

Note that there is a download for Intel CPUs and a different download for Apple Silicon (M1,M2,M3,M4).
If you cannot solve it, please let us know which exact file you have downloaded and installed (file name). If there is an error message, please let us know what it is.

The file I downloaded was qcad-3.32.4-trial-macos-12.7-15-qt6-arm64.dmg

Do you get a warning or error message or what is the behaviour when you try to start QCAD?

There were no warnings or error messages and nothing happens when I try to run QCAD. I uninstalled QCAD, downloaded the dmg file again (after moving the previous dmg to the trash) and re-installed but with the same results.

Neither the config or the library file exist.

OK, unfortunately, this means that QCAD will not work on your system for unknown reasons.
If you are technically savvy, you can try to run it from a Terminal and let us know the exact Terminal output. If you are not sure what a Terminal is, then please ignore this.
