Getting QCAD

There are two ways to get the QCAD software:

From a USB drive you purchase from the QCAD website.
As a file you download over the Internet after ordering your license online.

In either case you receive the same files needed to install QCAD. Both the download area and the USB drive contain multiple files for different operating systems. The pages above explain which file to use for your system and how to install it.

What operating system am I using?

If you are not sure which operating system (Windows, macOS or Linux) you are using, visit whatsmyos.com — it shows “Your OS is …” at the top of the page. It is important to download the package that matches your operating system: a Windows package will not run on macOS or Linux, and vice versa.
